Create A Live USB Linux With The Linux Operatng System

Creating a bootable USB Linux using OS Linux is very easy. This example was made with the help of the operating system Linux BackBox but of course it works with other distributions of linux.

  • 4GB USB stick
  • The image of a Linux distribution (ISO), I took the example of Kali Linux.

Firstly, you need to define the path to the device to be used to write the image to USB.

Writing

sudo fdisk -l

This is my USB stick 4GB (/ dev / sdb)

Since I'm going to do an OS image Kali Linux is naturally my file is named

kali-linux-2.0-amd64.iso

To create an image writing

the dd the if = kali-the linux-1.0.9a-amd64.iso of = / dev / sdb of bs = 512k

dd - copies a file, converts the data format of the process in accordance with the specified operands.
of - Specifies the output path.
BS - the block size for both input and output file.

After the completion of this report will appear here

I hope everything is clear explained. If you have questions ask them in the comments.
And at the request of readers, I'll write soon about how to make a USB to save the updates, files and programs. Good luck and successful bootable USB
